A bit about the role

 

The Property Officer will provide accurate and timely advice on statutory obligations, while ensuring land/property matters comply with relevant legislation and regulations.  You will provide solutions to property related issues, negotiate, develop and implement leases, licences and other agreements in accordance with legislative requirements while protecting Council’s interests as a landowner.

 

What you’ll deliver

  • Specialist advice on statutory obligations
  • Strategies to optimise the use and return on Council owned and managed properties
  • Clear, concise reports, correspondence and information on property matters
  • Innovative strategies, policies and procedures
  • Effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline or extensive experience in property management
  • Knowledge of property management legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in administering leases/licences, records and registers
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly to meet service goals and deadlines
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
