A bit about the role
Leading the Talent Acquisition team, the Team Leader Talent Acquisition will drive the continuous growth of effective talent acquisition at Wyndham City Council. Enhancing the recruitment process to ensure that Wyndham continues to recruit exceptional talent to enable the organisation to deliver for the growing community.
You will partner with the business and senior leaders to provide strategic talent advice, oversee end to end recruitment processes and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
To ensure Wyndham City enhances its reputation as a great place to work, you will have a flexible and proactive approach to identifying, engaging, and attracting exceptional talent for Wyndham City Council, by partnering with the business to identify the future resource capability requirements and remaining up to date with market and industry trends.
What you’ll deliver
- Lead end to end recruitment processes and talent acquisition strategies, partnering with business leaders
- Provide leadership and guidance to the talent acquisition team, mentoring and supporting continuous improvement
- Support the People and Capability leadership team and Coordinator People and Partnerships with process and policy review within the scope of selection and appointment
- Engage in talent search activities, build on Council’s employer brand, delivering a future focused and contemporary recruitment process
- Work in collaboration with the broader People and Capability department to deliver solution focused outcomes to the rest of the organisation
What you’ll bring
- Experience leading an internal recruitment team, preferably within a government context
- Leadership skills, with the ability to manage a remote team in a complex environment
- Understanding of contemporary recruitment practices and implementing modern talent practices, especially in a diverse organisation
- Exceptional communication skills, with demonstrated abilities in stakeholder management across a diverse organisation
- Experience developing and implementing process improvements, collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders
- Degree in a Human Resources (Desirable) AND/OR relevant experience
- A positive, curious, and flexible mind
