Remuneration: Band 6 salary from $101,297.04 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

Location: Werribee based

 

About the role

As the Team Leader Road Safety, you will lead nine Road Safety Officers in efficiently managing the parking control function by delivering an effective service for Council and the residents of Wyndham City.

 

You will oversee daily team activities, offering constructive feedback to team members and addressing any performance gaps as well as reviewing the development and implementation of quality assurance measures, standard operating procedures and training & development plans to drive a high-performance culture.

 



This fixed term opportunity is available due to an internal secondment.

 

What your day will look like

  • Providing reports to the Coordinator City Amenity on individual and team performance, as required
  • Ensuring that staff rosters reflect an adequate level of resources to carry out all the functions of the team
  • Carrying out regular field patrol work with a focus on providing quality assurance and guidance
  • Assisting the Coordinator in the delivery of the Business Plan, budget, media and councillor enquiries
  • Identifying and leading continuous improvements in business processes and customer service delivery in team functions



 

What you will bring

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification with some experience; or a Certificate in IV Government (Statutory Compliance)
  • Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver and efficient and effective service
  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage complex and high-volume customer queries and needs
  • Sound knowledge and the ability to interpret and apply legislative and regulatory provisions as they relate to the activities in a regulatory environment
