A bit about the role

As Service Development Officer, you will support the creation of policies and procedures that enable the Community Support Department to meet their obligations under the Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS), Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) and the Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM). This newly created position will ensure that Wyndham City’s services are effectively identifying, assessing, and managing family violence risk, whilst enabling children and young people to live happy and safe lives.

What you will deliver

  • Develop, implement, and embed operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant family and child services schemes and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to tailor policies and procedures to meet legislative requirements.
  • Process information requests under CISS, FVISS and MARAM frameworks, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Oversee the reportable conduct investigations and document processes to assist leaders in managing investigations under the Reportable Conduct Scheme.
  • Work with Community Support leaders to enhance service delivery through efficient information sharing and investigation processes.

What you will bring

  • A degree or diploma in project management, business improvement, human services or relevant discipline with some experience is required. Alternatively, a lesser formal qualification(s) and substantial relevant experience, or substantial relevant experience with specialist expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining effective strategic relationships with key stakeholders to achieve common goals is required.
  • Broad knowledge of services for children, families, young people and the general community is desirable.
  • Broad knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and reporting requirements is preferable.
