A bit about the role

This role will work in conjunction with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams, connecting with the organisation to codesign new innovative and agile business performance practices for achieving continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for assisting the organisation in aligning and achieving the strategic vision of council’s Wyndham Way approach You will facilitate, influence and challenge the business to ensure the alignment of work and resources are in line with the priorities of the business. You will lead the development and implementation of the continuous improvement framework for the organisation to deliver services more efficiently and effectively.

You will be a key conduit to change management, driving a collaborative approach to business planning and achieving strategic outcomes. You will lead the consultation and review of policies and practices, promoting a continuous improvement culture across the organisation. 

What you’ll deliver

  • Further embedding of a dedicated scrum space to facilitate an agile way of working across the organisation
  • Champion a collaborative approach to change, supporting and leading change across the organisation
  • Coordinate business, service and strategic planning, ensuring priorities are met
  • Support strategic alignment, coordinating cross functional participation in achieving organisation wide strategy and vision
  • Research and implement process improvements across the organisation, identifying inefficiency and opportunity for enhancement
  • Imbed a data driven approach to organisational change, interpreting and analysing data to drive financial and business decisions


What you’ll bring

  • An understanding of agile or scrum methodologies, with experience in change management and end-to-end process mapping
  • Experience in business performance and improvement, process and strategy, program and policy coordination, developing KPI’s or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Exceptional communication skills, being able to communicate complex ideas to a variety of internal and external stakeholders and manage politically sensitive environments
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, provide advice, recommendations and support collaboration with others
  • Experience in culture change and change management across large and complex organisations
  • Experience and supported qualifications in Project Management
  • Qualification in a relevant discipline with substantial relevant experience, or lesser formal qualification with extensive experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
