Location: This role may be required to work across multiple locations throughout the Wyndham Municipality
About the role
As a Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nurse, you’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You'll have the chance to work with a diverse community, helping families from all walks of life and seeing the positive impact you have on their well-being.
In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, including MCH nurses, immunisation nurses, child and family resource officers, lactation consultants, social workers, and a family violence officer. You’ll receive excellent guidance from a dedicated leadership team, ensuring you have the support you need to succeed.
You’ll bring your clinical expertise to a community-focused setting, with ongoing support from your Team Leader to escalate issues and access professional development opportunities.

This position is a full time, fixed term position backfilling parental leave until 23 March 2026.
What your day will look like
- Delivering a high-quality Maternal and Child Health nursing service, providing vital support to families
- Committing to continuous learning and collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Contributing to referrals and completing necessary reporting in line with legislative requirements
- Engaging with families using a family-centred partnership approach
What you will bring
Mandatory Qualifications to practice as a MCH Nurse in Victoria, as outlined in the Position Description – (Graduates encouraged to apply!)
- Current registration with AHPRA:
- Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Registered Midwife, and;
In addition to the above registrations, accredited postgraduate Diploma/Degree (or equivalent) in Child and Family Health Nursing.
- Previous practical experience in Maternal and Child Health nursing or undergoing training
- Demonstrated experience working with CALD communities or a genuine curiosity and willingness to learn
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Confidence and competency in using computer systems including M&CH programs
- Current valid Victorian driver’s licence and access to registered and insured vehicle
- Employee Working with Children check
