You will start your engineering career, post the completion of a Civil Engineering degree course recognised by Engineers Australia, by working across the numerous departments that help Wyndham City function and thrive.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Completing surveys
- Presenting and analysing data, reports and specifications
- Investigating engineering issues on site, including undertaking site surveys and inspections
- Preparing correspondence, reports and documentation, including the identification of options, models and recommendations
- Taking notes and sharing findings with your supervisor and other relevant stakeholders
- Establishing professional relationships with staff
- Preparing plans for small scale engineering projects
On top of that, you will be given opportunities to network and have one-to-one mentoring with senior engineers.

What you will bring
- Civil Engineering degree/qualification as recognised by Engineers Australia, completed within the past two years (REQUIRED)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Skills in managing time, planning and organising own workload
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with a range of stakeholders
- Experience in administering and preparing a range of engineering and site plans
- Ability to apply engineering knowledge and training along with analytical and investigative skills required to formulate solutions
- Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Office programs and skills in GIS mapping and site auditing
To be eligible for our Emerging Talent Graduate Program, you have:
- Studied or be currently living in Wyndham
- Graduated from the required course or a related field (listed in the position description) within 24 months of applying for a graduate role
- Eligibility to work in Australia
If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification, and an Australian work rights check.
