About the role
As the Team Leader Growth Area (Town Planning), you will lead a team of planners in efficiently managing and processing planning applications within Wyndham’s growth areas. You'll oversee a caseload of planning matters, build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and negotiate effectively with developers and objectors. Drawing on your town planning qualifications, industry experience, and excellent communication skills, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of one of Victoria’s fastest-growing municipalities.

- Process and evaluate significant and/or complex planning permit applications within multiple Precinct Structure Plan areas
- An innovative streamlined approach to applications
- Leadership development and mentoring
- Expert advice to internal and external customers
- Strong customer focus / service
What you will bring
- Extensive statutory planning experience in growth areas
- Demonstrated experience leading or managing people
- A strong desire to be involved in working in a customer focused environment with a high level of service provision
- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
