About the role
As a member of the Transport and Sustainability department, this position will play a key role in the delivery of complex transport projects.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Transport Planning, the successful candidate will utilise their specialist technical skills in engineering and project management to manage consultants, sub-contractors and stakeholders to deliver the pre-construction phases of key strategic projects such as complex intersections and road duplications.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced project engineer with highly developed technical and problem-solving skills, stakeholder engagement skills and excellent communication skills. They must also be an experienced project manager with experience in complex projects, both of a technical and sensitive nature.

Specialist technical reviews
Contract management
Participating in project governance, including developing and presenting reports
Developing project scoping briefs
What you will bring
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with several years of subsequent relevant experience
Extensive experience in project management of highly complex projects (transport desirable) including budgeting, design and delivery of capital works
Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills
Experience in providing specialist technical and engineering support, and direct supervision of engineering work of unregistered Engineers.
Professional Engineers Registration in compliance with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
A current driver’s licence is required.
