As Program Support Officer, you will provide essential operational and administrative support to the Construction and Development Services Unit. Reporting to the Coordinator, you will help ensure projects are delivered effectively by maintaining accurate financial and project records, coordinating documentation processes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and reporting.
This role is crucial to ensuring program visibility, budget tracking, governance compliance, and operational efficiency across our construction and development portfolio.
What your day will look like
High-quality administrative and project support across the full capital works lifecycle.
Maintenance of project data and documentation in Council systems.
Support with budget tracking, procurement processes, risk reporting, and reconciliations.
Preparation and coordination of project reports, briefings, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Assistance with streamlining processes and improving program governance tools such as templates, registers, and reports.
Collaborative and professional communication with contractors, project managers, and other internal teams.
What you will bring
A relevant qualification in Business Administration, Project Support, or a related field — or extensive relevant experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated experience supporting infrastructure or construction programs.
Strong financial administration skills, including budget tracking, reconciliation, and understanding of procurement processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise project management systems
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a commitment to quality and customer service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
A current Victorian Driver’s Licence and ability to travel locally as required.
