About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader Horticulture, you, as part of the Horticulture Team, will participate in horticulture and targeted parks maintenance tasks.
This role will see you taking the next step up in your career by leading and directing the day-to-day tasks of a small crew. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and experience while also helping develop others in the team.
What your day will look like
- Maintaining gardens, parks, plantations and more
- Understanding and working to the schedule set by Team Leader and Leading Hand
- Take responsibility for the care of plant, tools and equipment
- Eradicating weeds by both manual and chemical techniques
- Basic public infrastructure cleansing
- Ensuring works are undertaken in a safe manner
What you will bring
- Certificate 3 in Horticulture (required)
- Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence (required)
- Hands on experience in Traffic Management (desirable)
- Demonstrated skills with use and maintenance of small plant such as brush cutters and mowers
