A bit about the role
Reporting to Coordinator Library Operations, you will be responsible for managing the Wyndham Library Network’s collections and information service resources. As someone who has a true passion for sharing Library resources with the community, you will have a focus on ensuring that our community is best utilising the resources available and ensuring that our network is operating in the most effective and efficient manner.

The strength of your leadership and people skills will enable you to flourish in a rapidly changing environment. Your technical knowledge of current practices in cataloguing and managing collections will empower your management of library collections in response to community demand, and your interest in library systems and customer access will support your strategic management of Wyndham’s popular eLibrary platforms and resources.
What you’ll deliver
- Your passion for enhancing the community engagement with the Library’s collections
- Promoting library collections and resources to our community
- Provide training opportunities for staff regarding library resources and reader development
- Providing new and innovative ways to best manage the collections to ensure the greatest value to the community
- Effective and meaningful leadership for the Collections and Information Services team, covering a diverse portfolio of staff responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the skills and professional development of the Collections teams
- Continue to engage and build the relationships with key industry stakeholders and suppliers
What you’ll bring
- Public Library experience in a Collections role, an understanding of how to get the most out of our collections
- Bachelor of information management or equivalent qualification
- Team leadership experience and a drive to best influence growth within your team
- Experience in purchasing and budgeting with Library collections
- Thirst for innovation, how to engage the community in brand new library resources
- A positive, curious and flexible attitude
